Despite the fact that only 9 starters return, Coach Jeff Cortez believes that the Crusaders will be improving this fall. PJ Kinney and Kyle Custer will be competing for the QB job, while Andrew Canino will likely take over at RB. Helping matters significantly will be the return of offensive tackles Brett Stow and Eugene Kil and center Jordan Dias. The new defensive scheme will be implemented by LBs Michael Phelps, Jereny Bowen, and Derrick Welsh. Overall, Coach Cortez likes what he sees from his offensive and defensive lines, but he is concerned about the number of players playing both ways.
