This year can really be a swing year for the Pirates. Only 9 starters return and the incoming JV team was only 2-8. Coach Josh Cunningham reports that although the number of juniors aren't very plentiful, the seniors will be (totaling 27, keeping in mind this school's total enrollment is only about 1100). New QB Casey Eubanks takes over an offense that struggled at times to score last year, but Coach Cunningham likes his talent and scrambling ability. Eubanks will be protected by an O-line led by Mark Suarez and Patrick Bashforth. The defense will be led by LBs Alex Orosz and Parker Colvin (who will also play RB). One other thing that will be exciting will be the new stands and facilities for the program, which could provide the support needed for the Pirates to get over the hump and qualify for the playoffs.
