The team has gone through a pretty wide-sweeping rebuilding process starting last year, and they should be improved this year. Returning outstanding players include Austin Pena QB, Isiah Robinson RB/WR/DB, Darian Morris WR/DB, Frank Garavillas OL/DL and Jamain Jackson, OL/DL. The Nighthawks will depend upon an influx of talent from their junior varsity squad to help overcome problems with depth and size. And they must deal with inexperience to compete in their tougher schedule. An additional boost comes in the form of a Ponderosa (Shingle Springs) transfer Charles Davis-Burks that should help the Nighthawks' backfield.
