The Foothill Cougars were one of the major contenders for the California State Bowl Division II for the North after winning the Northern Section Division I title. The team will be looking to Aaron Boals OL/DL, Nate Hutt FB/LB and B.J. Shaeffer OL/DL to show the way of a strong team. There is experience on the offensive line and the Cougars expect a strong running team this year. A strong incoming junior class will help too. But the large loss from last year's senior class and major work needed in overall speed and defensive secondary skills could signal a difficult year for Foothill of Palo Cedro. Nevertheless, the team will begin the season with expectations of taking another sectional title home.
