Outlook: With only five starters back and needing to replace key skill position talent it seems likely the Pirates will take a step back from last season's 8-4 campaign. Steve Pedrazza steps in at QB and Angel Nava, Freddy Chavez and Victor Davila provide solid WR options. The defense needs skill position talent to emerge with Roy Santana set to anchor the line and Noel Garcia leading the LBs. Two-thirds of last year's roster has departed and it will take time to replace key players.
