Outlook: Twelve starters are back for coach Elifonso Esquivel including RBs Randy Rodriguez and Jonathan Perez. The Lions went 6-4 last season and how good they are this season may depend upon how well whoever wins the QB battle between Collie Long and Raul Bowman plays. On defense LBs Stephen White and Elias Esquivel lead the way with Michael Fonseca and Mikael De La Rosa keying the secondary. If defensive playmakers emerge and a QB steps in and grasps the system from the start, a good season could develop.
