Outlook: There is a lot going on and a lot of excitement around coach Scot Hafley's program. The Buffaloes have 12 starters back, including a few that are very interesting prospects. Defensive End Reggie Wilson is 6'4", 231lbs, and was voted the District Sophomore of the Year last season. When Florida, Texas and Oklahoma all express interest, you're doing something right. Senior Tight End James Pearson was 3rd team Texas last year; he is also getting interest from division one schools. Two other defensive linemen, Malaki Nisa and John Nau are good prospects, and on the offensive line, Dexter Griffith is a Junior to keep an eye on. As for skill position talent, Sophomore Aaron Shockey will start at QB; he has very good mechanics. Dexter Braziel returns at RB, after having a memorable 100-yard performance against Southlake Carroll last year as a Sophomore. Line play should be very strong, but they are not deep should an injury occur. The team is quick and excited to move from 5-5A to 3-5A. A playoff spot, and a lot of improvement, is a realistic goal.
