Outlook: It will be a heavy dose of Bearcat RB Waymon Jones in coach Drew Young's offense this season. After an excellent campaign in 2007, another year with well over 1,000 yards rushing and maybe even twenty touchdowns is expected. Madison Carter is back at QB, but he will be challenged by Garrett Powell. Whoever plays the majority of snaps under center should have time to throw with defenses keying on Jones. Kirk Thomas will be a top target in the passing game, and other receivers must emerge. The defense will be young, but they return Safety John Welborn and End Jeremy Jones. A top-tier finish is possible, but newcomers must make a difference.
