The JV squad won three of ten tries last time, and the Freshmen squad was 1-9; it's those units that must help the Knights who return just one offensive starter. Cleveland thinks the team will vie for the top spot in the district, and he believes QB play may be improved. Top WR Ryan Pettis is 6'2" and 190lbs, runs a 4.4 40-yard dash, and is being recruited by Division One schools. The position of QB has a lot of candidates, and whoever emerges must take the reigns and be a leader from the start. The offensive line is all new, but Cleveland believes this could be the "biggest and most talented group" the school has had in his tenure. The defense will be led by Nose Guard Tevin Williamson--a Division One prospect who is only a Junior. At LB, Senior Jeremy Tarango will play big time college ball, and Adrian Rodriguez led the team last year with ten sacks. Despite few returners at skill positions, the defense is good enough to limit opponents, and the offense has guys with big up side.
