Outlook: Fifteen starters return for coach David Plunk after the Bobcats posted a three win 2007. Jarod Simpson will take over at QB, while returning RB A.J. Jones is back after a workmanlike 2007. On defense, the line should be strong with End Michael Boyd and Tackle Brandon Pyle. The secondary has strength with Safety Eric Mitchell and Corner Kenneth Smith. A lot of starters are back, but there is still a lot of work to be done for dramatic improvement.
