Outlook: With twelve starters back, the Black Cats will be led by QB Trae Davis this season. Last year, he threw for 1,100 yards and will look to improve that this year. Lance Bell played a decent amount at RB last season, and he should get more work this year. At WR, Chase Amick and Cody Price will see a lot of work, as will Devin Freeman. The defense has LBs Richard Tackett and Trent Mack leading the way, with youngster Doug Gentry also a factor. Michael Gamble will lead the defensive effort up front. There is talent on the roster, but drastic improvement on last year's four-win season will take a lot of work.
