Outlook: Last year, coach Steve Leisz relied on the top two offensive skill position players the school has ever had. Kellen Theriot is now at LSU and David Nwabuisi is at Northwestern; they finished with more than 6,000 yards and 366 points. Two key defensive starters have departed after combining for 234 tackles last season. This season, the Knights special talent is in the trenches, specifically with Senior Left Tackle John Wooldridge--who has committed to play at TCU. Center Greg Holmes is also an improving talent. Junior QB Shane Carden is back, and both Christian Lane and Williams Buckwalter are younger players with a lot of talent. Improvement on a 5-4 mark last season is expected.
