With four more wins, he will hit 100 in his Bridgeport career, which includes a 51-26 mark in district play. With 14 starters back--including an All State QB--it would be easy to call Bridgeport the district favorite, but Henson prefers to list his squad along with Argyle and Decatur as candidates to take home the district. To say that QB Cameron Green is a special player would be an understatement. An All State and All District choice last year, he completed more than 60% of his passes for nearly 2,8000 yards (including 15 TDs) and rushed for more than 700 yards and three more scores. Second team district RB Aaron Holt has graduated, and that means Corbin Green likely gets the call to start opening day; he rushed for five scores in limited action last season. The defense has a lot of key guys back, including LB Zach Bracken who made 111 tackles last season. Two starting corners also return in Corbin Green and Dustin Krebs. There is no reason it won't be a very good year. The talent is on the roster. |
