Outlook: The Pirates have twelve starters back, but they must break in new skill position talent. After a 4-6 record last season, sophomore Courtland Crumby will learn on the fly at QB, and Chris Bibins is thrown in the fire at RB. Skye Dawson will be a top target in the passing game. The defense is also a work in progress with the secondary perhaps a strength. With new players taking on big roles, the process is going to take time for coach Charles Hesse. Improvement as the year moves along seems likely.
