Strength may be in the trenches with Offensive Tackle Josh Aladnowye (6'6"-320) and Offensive Guard Lamarcus Jones (6'0"-315). Senior Linebackers Chris Royal and Darrien McKinney should be the strength of the defense. Michael Wheeler will be the team's top returning WR after starting all eleven games last season. Junior WR Ricky Herod could be "one of the best receivers in the state," according to Robinson. Sophomore RB Joseph Bergerone, at 6'0" 235lbs, is a mini Jerome Bettis, and he is well worth keeping an eye on. A good district has added DeSoto and that makes it even stronger. North Mesquite has proven players, good prospects, and they should be able to compete. Trying to get into the top two in the district will be a challenge. |
